2018-present – Universal Alloy Corporation – Canton, GA – Production Manager/Process Control Engineer


Improved processes in Light Press and increased the Secondary Departments metrics.
• Rolled out the training program for Light Press using the Bridge Software.
• Increased Secondary output by 44% since taking over the department in less than 1 year.
• Time study on large press to get die change down to 5 minutes from 15 minutes.
• Re-designed rough saw stop for accuracy of +/- 1/16
• Helped Light Press hit company record weight, scrap, quality and efficiencies.
• Set up layered audits for Light Press Production, Engineering and Quality.
• Led the Comparator project reducing sampling time from 60 minutes to 5 minutes for Presses, Quality and Final Inspection Departments.
• Led the Stretcher and Secondary one-piece flow project creating 10% increase in efficiency.
• Spearheaded the new lab layout, process flow and design to make it more efficient.
• Visual management projects such as upender lengths, scrap bins & color-coding for samples.


2016-2018 – Bekaert Corp – Rome, GA – Production Manager


Helped change the culture and plants bottom line in 11 months in 2016.
• Restructured the plants org chart to help with the turnaround for the plant.
• Turned plants profitability from a negative $400,000.00 per month to a positive $225,000.00 per month in 11 months.
• Promoted a Safety culture that supported hitting the million man hours without a lost time in 2016.
• Increased our Quality metric 14% by tracking the 1st Time Quality Rolled Throughput metric daily, implementing a visual tiered system & using 8D’s.
• Worked on Union Contract negotiations and changes to help with the plants profitability for the next 3 years.
• Set up tiered communication boards as well as KPI’s/Metrics for the colleagues to drive change throughout the plant.
• Built work load models to help in Dry Draw and Packing to increase output in those areas.
• Set up the WIP room to drive a pull system on the North Side operations creating less waste of spools and more efficient use of space.


2010 to 2016 – Chart Industries – Ball Ground, GA – Production Manager

Led the manufacturing plant through 5 continuous years of record growth and demand.
• Exceeded all plant metrics through daily leadership/tiered meetings, communication boards, weekly ops to discuss 90-day goals and weekly Gemba walks on the plant floor.
• Created the HPU metric in 2014 increasing production efficiencies by 11% and reduced the OT/Unit 33% in 2015.
• Promoted a Safety culture that decreased the incident rate from 2.75 to 1.2 in 2015.
• Increased our Quality metric 8% by tracking the Quality Rolled Throughput metric daily, created Value Stream Teams to attack issues with tools such as 8D’s.
• Started a second shift to support demand due to growth.
• Responsible for products in 3 Divisions (D&S, Medical & Repairs) and the Fabrication Department.
• Implemented visual management throughout the plant.

2004 to 2010 – 3M – Atlanta, GA – Production Manager

Helped production through change management, growth and automation for 6 years.
• Acquired and closed the 200ml line project resulting in a savings of $1.75M a year by in-sourcing it to the Atlanta facility.
• Implemented an SPC program on the putty lines saving the plant $500K a year with no capital by reducing overfill rates on all production lines.
• Implemented the IMES system on the production floor to sync up with plants throughout the company helping standardize results for finance company-wide.
• Served on a project team that converted over company forklifts to a lease program saving $800K and complying with the explosion proof requirement in the mixing rooms.
• Started a second and third shift to support the 200ml growth.

2001 to 2004 – OHL – Atlanta, GA – Facility (Operations) Manager

Drove cost improvements and brought in technology to increase overall DC performance.
• Brought in RF bar-coding to enhance a core account by increasing inventory accuracy to 99.2%, increasing efficiencies by 15% and saving $50K per year on load auditing.
• Reduced 2nd largest account footprint by 33% increasing profit per square foot while making room for 2 more accounts.
• Implemented a picking bonus that increased efficiencies 20%.
